Morninglam Jewelry is a handmade jewelry brand inspired by the bold, playful aesthetic of the Y2K era. I designed and built their e-commerce site from layout to the little design details, everything was created to bring out the fun, nostalgic vibe of the early 2000s while keeping things modern and easy to navigate.

  • Shopify Website Development: I used Shopify to create a user-friendly and visually engaging shopping experience. Since the brand’s aesthetic is all about vibrant colors and nostalgia, I made sure the design reflected that while keeping navigation simple and intuitive.
  • Brand Identity: Morninglam Jewelry’s brand identity is all about capturing the essence of Y2K. Since their jewelry is all handmade, I wanted the branding to reflect that playful and creative energy.
  • Visual Content: I edited all product photos in Photoshop to make sure they looked their best.
  • Social Media Strategy: I developed a social media strategy that aligns with the brand’s identity. This included designing Instagram visuals, creating engaging product showcases, and keeping everything cohesive across digital platforms.‍
  • User Experience Optimization: I focused on UX optimization, ensuring that browsing, product discovery, and checkout were seamless, especially on mobile.

My Working Process

This process helped bring Morninglam Jewelry to life in a way that stays true to its vision while making it easy for customers to connect with the brand.

Research & Ideation

To build a strong foundation for Morninglam Jewelry, I started with in-depth research on Y2K aesthetics, focusing on jewelry trends from that era. Explored colors, typography, and overall vibe that defined the early 2000s. At the same time, I worked on refining Morninglam’s identity and website to align with the brand’s vision while keeping the user experience smooth and engaging.

Concept Development

With a solid direction in mind, I experimented with different color palettes, typography styles, and design elements that best represented the brand. I wanted to make sure the logo and overall identity captured the playful yet edgy feel of Y2K fashion. I narrowed down the options, refined the visuals and branding to create a cohesive look that seamlessly tied into the website and product presentation.

Prototyping & Testing

After finalizing the overall design, I moved into UX testing to ensure the website was fully responsive and functioned smoothly across all devices and social platforms. This included checking navigation flow, product displays, and functionality testing to create a seamless shopping experience.

Finalize Product

Once everything was refined, I finalized the website, brand identity, and visual assets to make sure they all matched perfectly. The end result is a bold, nostalgic, and cohesive brand that captures the Y2K aesthetic while offering a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience.
